Letter CEGC Families Concerning COVID-19

Dear CEGC Families,
I know many of you are concerned and have questions about what actions CEGC has taken and will take to deal with the current COVID-19 situation. I have spent much of the last 48 hours trying to sift through all the information coming from the Federal, State and Local government agencies and their recommendations to keep everyone safe while at the same time trying to ignore the hyperbole and fear mongering currently being broadcast by the Media. It’s tough when there are so many rumors being spread while we haven’t actually seen much more than grocery store panic and kids home from school here in Clarksville. The fact is there are no cases in Montgomery County.  None. While it is true that the State / County / City has closed schools and some government buildings, daycares, churches, restaurants, stores and other local businesses are still open, and it has not been recommended by our local agencies much less mandated that they close.

With that being said, for the time being, I will NOT be closing the gym.

If you, as a parent, are concerned I urge you to follow your conscience and do what you feel is best for your family. I also ask you to resist the urge to panic and respect other’s rights to make decisions for themselves.

Along with our regular scheduled cleaning of all mat surfaces, lobby and bathroom areas, we have hired a company to come in and perform disinfectant fogging to further ensure a clean safe environment for you and your kids and our employees. We will continue with regular fogging until further notice.

If / when the situation in our county changes, we will reevaluate our position. Until such time we will remain providing the very best service we can for our community.

Thank you for your support and understanding.
Respectfully,

Larry P. Corrigan
